Tulsi, Tulasi or Vrinda (Holy Basil) is a sacred plant in Hindu belief. Hindus regard it as an earthly manifestation of the goddess Tulsi; she is regarded as the avatar of Lakshmi, and thus the consort of the god Vishnu.
Tulsi is regarded as best for worshipping lord Vishnu, Ram, and Krishna.. It is also used for the purification of the body, and can give peace of mind and reduces stress.
How to use a mala for japa repetition: Hold your mala with the right hand, draping it over the middle finger in front of the heart and using the thumb to move from one bead to the next each time you repeat the mantra.
